Using Data Analytics to derive quality Patient Outcomes
Here’s our take on delivering a critical healthcare programme amidst the 2019 pandemic.
Abstract
Ever since the COVID pandemic hit the world, human lives have been significantly impacted. The Healthcare industry was handed over a huge responsibility of ensuring safety of human life.
Since January 2020, most organizations around the world went 100% remote for a few months, after which they transitioned into a hybrid model. To make this sustainable, they had to make sure critical control processes were in place to ensure that the virus was not spreading and people’s interactions were kept in check.
This is where Horne took upon the initiative to smartly manage employee interactions at workplace and social occasions, to create a contact map within the system. This map helped identify ‘when’ employees were administered their last vaccination, their screening status, and use that to create workflows within the system to maintain an active directory.
In this case study, we’ll be unpacking further on how Esipick helped Horne in creating RediHealth, and the steps we took to turn that vision into reality.

Project Overview
The mission of this project was to institutionalize a process to track and eliminate COVID, to help managers in tracking patient records, to make better informed decisions on their current health status.
These statuses are important due to the high efficacy of the virus itself, leading to complications in containing it. This gave birth to the idea of having a centralized compliance platform, managed by organizations to reach out to potential COVID patients – Enabling them to make responsible in-life decisions that protect themselves, and others around them.
Project Scope
The scope of the project is to build and integrate a system that can help determine patient symptom categories and store use data analytics to derive outcomes based on their current symptoms.
This application comprises of a Patient-facing mobile application, and an administrator panel to be built as a web-application.
Organization Admins are in-charge of defining compliance workflows that all potential COVID patients need to abide by, in order for the system to write them off as actual patients. They create lists of people who have mild or severe symptoms, or recently contacted with someone that turned out to be COVID positive. Then, the admin creates their entry in the system and over time follows up with them on their updated diagnosis and test results from medical facilities. They should be able to filter patients by their compliance, vaccination, activity and screening status.
During this time, users (employees) are responsible to have an account on the platform and simply answer a few questions about their recent activities initially. For existing patients, they are required to monitor their medical conditions and simply respond to the follow up calls or messages sent by the organization admins, before they are cleared to be returning to work. Some of these follow-ups require document uploads (vaccination certificates) for validation.
The system issues emails to users and managers whenever certain criterion are met within the defined workflow.
The project’s overall duration was 6 months, in which we were tasked to integrate the complete designs created by the Design Team.
