Today, we explore a Case Study to Learn how we contributed to a system designed to facilitate Flight Schools in managing their fleet, and an appointment scheduling behind it to handle multiple requests a day, seamlessly.

Project Overview
Flight School Manager, or FSM, is an Online Flight Appointment Scheduling system designed to streamline the ecosystem between Flight Schools, Instructors, and Students. It allowed these Schools, who have an extensive Fleet of Airplanes, with a large amount of flight bookings to operate smoothly.
The system ensures that Customers who want to fly using a Flight School’s Airplane is readily available, providing them the best experience.
Project Scope
We received a comprehensive Product Strategy document that highlighted the must-haves and good-to-haves for the Product. The primary objectives were to employ:
1. Maintenance – A separate Mobile Application FlightBoss, designed specifically for managing Aircraft part(s) maintenance.
2. Scheduling – Allowing Students to book flights with specific Dates, Pilots and even Plane Types.
3. Directory – facilitating the records for Instructors and Students.
4. Learning Management System – A module to Allow Instructors and Students to engage with Course content.
Our major Wins included delivering a robust Learning Management System that enabled students to engage with Flight School content, that were reviewed and graded by Instructors. Through Moodle, we were able to design a system that leveraged content creation, and provided support for students to learn from the FSM web portal.
We planned and executed an extensive reporting mechanism for the Client by launching drill-down reports, that provided insights on overall Booking Revenue, and Pending Payments to the Business, allowing for easier reconciliation.
